Maccabi Games

July 28-August 2

The 2019 JCC Maccabi Games® will call Atlanta home for just the second time in the history of the competition, with more than 1,600 participants, ranging from 12-16-years-old, to fill out a field of 13 sports. Hosted by the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta, the 2019 JCC Maccabi Games® will include a full range of events, including Olympic-style opening and closing ceremonies and a community service day. These events each aim to bring the Atlanta Jewish Community together for a week of spirit, friendship, and celebration.

Host Family Experience

The host family experience is a unique and rewarding aspect of the JCC Maccabi Games® for teens, host families, and community alike.

Lasting memories and relationships created during the week of JCC Maccabi Games® between teens and host families are an integral part of the Games experience. The host family offers the teen a “home away from home” and a unique way to experience the JCC Maccabi Games®  and all the Jewish community has to offer.

In turn, host families experience the JCC Maccabi Games® on a personal level, connecting with their friends and neighbors, and building a bond with their visiting teens that extends well beyond the Closing Party.
